The Navages

This is another of my very favourite walks (I have so many, each one seems to be my favourite walk according to which walk I'm on)!  I usually take the truck half a mile up the road as the A44 is a very busy
one.  I rarely see anyone else up there even on a Sunday when you do expect to see a few more people about.  I'm not sure if it's the smell of the wood which is really lovely at this time of year, the colours or the sounds which I like best.  Once you reach the top of the road and you bear around to the right through the gates it's a case of hunt the ponies of which there are 3 I wish I knew their names.

There is a collection of stones that have been painted by children at some point and left I always go to visit them right on top of the rocks I do keep meaning to take one of mine and place it with them each one very different.

I never get tired of visiting The Navages you can see the Black Mountains, down to Herefordshire and out towards Ludlow looking northwards Radnor Forest  how lucky I am to live in such beautiful countryside.
